“Australia’s Reading Writing Hotline” is a long-standing referral service and information hub for adult literacy and numeracy. Originally established as phone support for an educational TV series, it has evolved into a national service assisting learners, industry, and community.
The hotline adapts to community needs, offering a unique overview of adult literacy requirements across the country. With a 30-year history, it plays a vital role in addressing literacy gaps, ensuring marginalized voices are heard, and influencing policy discussions.
