The paper discusses the importance of digital literacy programs for adults with mental health conditions. Low literacy and mental illness often coexist, posing challenges in accessing healthcare and resources. With the increasing reliance on digital technology in healthcare, programs like the Digital Opportunities for Obtaining Resources and Skills (DOORS) are designed to enhance digital literacy.
Improving digital literacy can enhance self-management, social interactions, and access to countless opportunities. The DOORS program has shown improvements in participants’ digital skills and overall well-being.
