This research article explores the perceptions of instructors in different fields (ESL, ABE, and DE) regarding the preparation of linguistically diverse students for postsecondary academic literacies. The study highlights the importance of a mutual understanding of college readiness and the need to support diverse students in their transition to college.
The article also uncovers tensions and conflicting perceptions between the fields, emphasizing the significance of alignment in preparing students for college success.
