The advocacy organizations in adult education leverage individual stories to influence public perception and policy. Meanwhile, decision–makers prioritize evidence-based policymaking. This article recommends a couple of strategies for researchers to balance meticulous research and the compelling power of personal narratives in promoting adult literacy.
It also proposes three areas of current interest where these strategies can be effectively used. The goal is to prioritize research findings while harnessing the impact of personal narratives to inform policymaking in adult education.
