Book Club Recap: Interred With Their Bones [VIDEO]

If you didn’t already know, we started our own ProLiteracy Book Club. We love reading and so do thousands of others in the literacy field, so a ProLiteracy Book Club seemed like an obvious way to learn about one another, share ideas, and read fun books.

Our first book was Interred With Their Bones, by Jennifer Lee Carrell, and we were thrilled that she agreed to participate in our first ProLiteracy Book Club live online discussion.

During the discussion, Carrell talked about how the idea of the book originated, her love of Shakespeare, and the inspiration for events in her novel. She also answered questions from participants in which she talked about her writing process, whether she’s considering turning the book into a film, what she thinks about Shakespeare conspiracy theories, and more.

Check out the video of the discussion below and sign up for the ProLiteracy Book Club to be notified of the next live discussion and Q&A session. Our next featured book is The Rent Collector, by Camron Wright. The book was chosen by one of ProLiteracy’s founders, Ruth Colvin, and she promises that it is a fantastic read. Happy Reading!
