ProLiteracy has created a template for programs to customize using PIAAC estimates and local program data to illustrate how adult education can positively change the lives of adults. The template compares other social issue data for county, state and national. We encourage programs to use this advocacy tool to inform funders and elected officials in your community.
The Survey of Adult Skills (PIAAC) is an international survey conducted in 40 countries that measures the key cognitive and workplace skills needed for individuals to participate in society and for economies to prosper. PIAAC is designed to assess adults in different countries over a broad range of abilities, from simple reading to complex problem solving skills.
