New Readers Press Educational Consultant Roberta Power interviews veteran teacher and author Ann Gianola on her newest multi-level book series, Long Stories Short. Together they discuss what teachers can expect from the stories and exercises which reflect the charm, clarity, and humor reminiscent of Ann’s previous collections, while offering current, digitally friendly, real-world topics and experiences.

About the presenters:
Ann Gianola has had a rewarding career as both an adult ESL instructor for the San Diego Community College District and a writer of educational materials. As a longtime author for New Readers Press, her book series include Stories Plus, From Home to School, Health Stories, That’s Life, Life Goes On, Novel Scenes, and More Novel Scenes. Her most recent work—Long Stories Short—is a five-level series that motivates adult students to develop fluency through relatable, thought-provoking, and entertaining reading.

Roberta Power is the New Readers Press Representative for Canada. Roberta has been a teacher for the government-funded Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) for over a decade and an English instructor for almost 20 years.
