This paper discusses the use of the Triple E Framework, developed by Dr. Liz Kolb, to guide technology integration in adult literacy education. The framework focuses on engagement, enhancement, and extension as key elements of effective technology integration.
It provides a four-step process for using technology tools that align with learning goals, promote active and social learning, enhance student understanding and critical thinking, and extend learning beyond the classroom. The paper emphasizes the importance of reaching the “sweet spot” in lesson design and offers a rubric for evaluating technology integration.
