Author(s): Kathy Harris – Portland State University; Naila Judge – RWS Group; Chris Burger – EAH Housing
This paper discusses a successful partnership between EAH Housing, an affordable housing organization, and the Literacy, Language, and Technology Research group at Portland State University. They collaborated on a digital literacy program funded by the California Public Utilities Commission.
The program implemented a 5-week cohort model with options for one-on-one tutoring, flexible class schedules, and self-paced learning materials. The program resulted in positive impacts, empowering over a thousand adults to gain digital literacy skills and pursue their passions.
